Almost every agent in this market advertises no service fee, which makes the headline close to meaningless as a way of telling them apart. What varies between them is the rate used to convert your yuan total into your own currency, and the gap over the mid-market rate affects the amount you pay. It does not by itself establish the operator’s net profit.
The retained 8 October 2026 sample recorded +8.5% FX markup and +8.5% for FX plus the standard service fee, which was recorded as zero. That comparison excludes payment-channel fees. It is a dated observation, not a guaranteed current rate or the full cost of an order.
A conversion difference scales with the basket value. Compare the complete payable amount for the same basket on the same day, including top-up charges and parcel costs; a historical percentage alone cannot predict your total.

The fixed lines, and the two that look identical
The help centre states the total as item cost plus international shipping plus customs charges, where item cost means the product price plus the seller's domestic shipping to the warehouse. Customs declaration is given as RMB 8.00 per parcel, described as generally, and depending on shipping method.
A different article names RMB 8.00 for packaging consumables. Nothing published says whether those are the same line, two lines, or one line that two articles describe differently. This site lists them separately with their article numbers and never adds them together, because adding them would be inventing a total that nobody published.
Optional services include priority purchase, extended storage, packing changes and photographs. Read each current selection and price before confirming; the retained help articles are examples rather than a guarantee of every account’s available options.

Official PayPal help articles disagree: article 65 states 2.9% + US$0.30, while articles 64 and 99 state 3.5% + US$0.30. Check the actual payment screen. The retained top-up article also lists Alipay and WeChat with no stated handling fee and an indicative 1–60 minute posting time; availability and final charges still depend on the payment method shown to you.
Allow time for payment processing and seller stock confirmation. Neither a quoted posting interval nor a fast payment guarantees the seller can fulfil the order.

The extension article prices storage at CNY 10 per OG order per 30 days, but its worked example uses a different duration. Confirm the purchased block and revised deadline. A cooling-off period mentioned after expiry is not a guaranteed extension of free storage.

Refunds, shortfalls and the money that comes back
Two mechanics are worth knowing before they happen. If the seller charges less than quoted, the difference returns to your balance rather than your card. If the parcel weighs less than the estimate used at submission, the operator states that the difference in shipping costs is refunded after shipment.
And if the seller charges more, you are asked to pay the shortfall before the order proceeds. That is normal for agents, but it is the step that surprises people who budgeted from the listing price alone.
